Welcome to Camping Asseiceira an award winning British owned campsite offering a warm welcome to all nationalities.

Camping Asseiceira was the first approved campsite in the Marvão district, and is the closest in location to this amazing village and castle.  Camping Asseiceira has won numerous awards, and we have gained an enviable reputation.  Over 50% of our visitors are either returning guests, or they come here because of a recommendation by a previous guest.

Located in the spectacular national park of Serra de São Mamede. Here you will pitch up in our small olive grove, with views rising up to the spectacular medieval castle and town of Marvão. This is a small and popular campsite. To avoid disappointment we advise you to reserve space prior to your arrival.
We do not accept arrivals after 20:00hrs, without prior agreement.

Camping Asseiceira is located just 8kms from the Spanish border, enabling you to use our facilities as a base to explore both the spectacular Northern Alentejo region of Portugal as well as Western Spain.

Peaceful and tranquil - yet the site is just a few minutes walk away from the village of Santo António das Areias, which has a useful selection of shops including a Butcher, Baker, Bank and Restaurants. 

At Camping Asseiceira we provide a friendly and informal service. However you choose to stay with us, be it on our Campsite in a motor home, caravan or tent. Or in our accommodation or self catering facilities. We will do our best to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
